    • BMP (Ca, PO4, Cr)

    • hydration, acetazolamide, dialysis, PO4 binders
  • Ddx

    • increased intake (urine PO4 > 1500)
      • PO4 infusion
      • PO4 laxatives or enemas
      • bisphosphonates
      • Vitamin D overdose
      • white phosphorus burn
    • cell lysis (high LDH, CPK)
      • rhabdomyolysis
      • tumor lysis
      • hemolysis
      • chemo/rad
    • extracellular shift
      • acidosis
    • decreased renal clearance (urine PO4 < 1500)
      • renal failure (Cr elevated)
      • hypoparathyroidism (PTH < 29)
      • pseudohypoparathyroidism, Albright's hereditary osteodystrophy (low Ca, high PTH)
      • hyperthyroidism (TSH)
      • acromegaly
